PRIVACY POLICY FOR CLOVER DASH
Last updated: 13 October 2026
OVERVIEW
Clover Dash is a game for Android and iOS (iPhone and iPad), published by Cold Boot Interactive. This policy explains what information the app handles.
The short version: Cold Boot Interactive does not collect anything about you. The game has no accounts of its own, and we run no analytics. Clover Dash does show advertising supplied by Google AdMob, and Google collects some information from your device in order to serve those ads. On Android, from version 1.4 onwards, the leaderboard is provided by Google Play Games, which uses your Play Games profile if you have one. Both are explained below.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT OURSELVES
None.
Cold Boot Interactive does not collect, store, sell, or receive any personal information about you. We operate no servers, and nothing in the game sends information to us.
Like every player, we can see the public leaderboard described below, which shows Play Games names and scores.
INFORMATION COLLECTED BY GOOGLE ADMOB
Clover Dash displays ads through Google AdMob. To select and measure those ads, Google collects information from your device. This typically includes:
- your advertising identifier, a resettable identifier that your device provides for advertising purposes. On Android this is the Android Advertising ID. On iPhone and iPad it is Apple's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA).
- your IP address, which indicates your approximate location
- device information such as model, operating system version and language
- which ads were shown to you, and whether you interacted with them
This information goes to Google and its advertising partners, not to us. We receive only anonymous, aggregated reports of how many ads were shown and what they earned. Those reports cannot identify you.
Google's use of this information is governed by its own policies:

GOOGLE PLAY GAMES AND THE LEADERBOARD
On Android, version 1.4 and later of Clover Dash has a leaderboard run by Google Play Games, a service from Google. Version 1.3 and earlier have no leaderboard and send nothing to Google Play Games.
If you have a Play Games profile, Google signs you in to it when the game opens. When you finish a run, the game sends your score to Google so it can be ranked. The first time you sign in, it also sends your existing best score.
Google Play Games handles:
- your Play Games profile, meaning your gamer name and avatar
- the scores you set in Clover Dash
- diagnostic and usage information about the Play Games service itself
Your gamer name and scores can be seen by other players on the leaderboard, depending on the visibility settings in your Play Games profile.
This information is held by Google, not by us. Clover Dash uses no other Play Games feature: no achievements, no saved games and no friends lists.
The leaderboard is optional. If you have no Play Games profile, or you choose not to sign in, the game plays exactly the same and no score is sent.
You can change your gamer name, hide your activity, or delete your Play Games data for Clover Dash or for all games, in the Google Play Games app or in your Google Account settings.

YOUR CHOICES ABOUT ADVERTISING
On Android
You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time from your device settings, usually under Settings, Privacy, Ads. Deleting it prevents apps from using it to personalise advertising.
On iPhone and iPad
On iOS, Clover Dash asks for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before it uses the IDFA for personalised ads.
You can change this choice at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
If you decline tracking, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalised.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Clover Dash asks for your consent before serving personalised ads. You can change that choice at any time using the privacy options in the game. If you decline personalised ads you will still see ads, but they will be selected without using your information.
HOW ADS APPEAR IN THE GAME
- A banner is shown at the top of the screen during play.
- An ad may be shown beside your score on the screen after you lose a run. It disappears as soon as you start again or continue.
- An optional video ad can be watched to continue a run after you lose. Watching it is always your choice, and skipping it never prevents you from starting a new run.
INFORMATION STORED ON YOUR DEVICE
So the game can remember things between sessions, Clover Dash saves a small amount of information locally on your device. This applies on both Android and iOS:
- your best score
- whether sound is switched on or off
- how many times you have played
- whether you have already seen the in-game tips
- your advertising consent choice, where one applies
This stays on your device, is never transmitted to us, and is deleted when you uninstall the app. The one exception is your score: on Android it is also sent to Google Play Games for the leaderboard, as described above.
PERMISSIONS
On Android, Clover Dash requests network access and the advertising ID permission.
On iOS, Clover Dash uses network access and, only if you choose to allow it, the tracking permission described above.
On both platforms these exist so the advertising described above can work. On Android, network access is also used for the leaderboard and to check Google Play for a newer version of the game. The game does not request access to your location, your camera, your microphone, your contacts, your photos or your files.
CHILDREN
Clover Dash is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through this app, contact us at the address below and we will act on it.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If what the app collects changes, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the "last updated" date above will change. We recommend checking this page when the app updates.
